CPArts Mission Statement

Centre for Performing Arts cooperates with like-minded organizationsin its efforts to:

• Promote peace, justice and equality among all communities
• Assist in healing the wounds of the war and the trauma of natural disaster
• Identify and encourage artistes to be ambassadors of peace and development in their communities and around the word
• Protect and nurture the rights and duties of children
• Create opportunities for intercultural exchange among Sri Lanka's regions
• Eliminate social and gender discrimination
• Promote the rights of women
• Protect and nurture the rights of Chidren
  

Objectives:

• Contribute to on-going peace process
• Address the deep psychic and spiritual damage of the Tsunami
• Engage in social analysis as a tool for understanding Sri Lanka 's problems
• Become a centre of excellence for fostering and sharing artistic talent among different ethnic and religious group
• Develop the training necessary to generate income at the level of regional Centres and assist them to:
    - Improve human resource
    - Increase institutional capacity

     Build financial capacity to minimize dependence on external donars
