PASSION PlAY

Arrangements are being made to stage a Passion Play called “KALVARI-YAGAM” on 29th and 30th of March and on 1st, 2nd , 4th and 5th of April 2009 at Jaffna CPArts Open Air Theatre. At the same time Colombo CPArts also is making arrangements to stage a Passion play called “KURUTHIYE SAATCHI” at the Elphinstone Hall, Maradana on 22nd March 2009. It is learnt that about more than 300 CPArts' artistes are participated in this spirtual event. Since early nineties CPArts produces different forms of passion play depicting the literary forms, and the contemporary situation of the country.
